Homebrew PCBs

Hello,

   Looks like I need to get another printer.  Or at least a cartridge for my little HP Laserjet 1020.  My main Brother printer uses toner that's just too hot.  

The LJ1020 is only 600x600 DPI.  I need to go down to .010" traces.  
Is anybody using a 600x600 printer for such?  Do they work well?

  At present, the 1020 has a cartridge of MICR toner for printing checks.  I'm thinking that MICR toner is exactly what you DONT want - the high iron content has got to be edible for the etchant.  I've also got the original cartridge that came with the printer - SOMEWHERE.  Damned if I can find it, though :).

   I'll be looking for a printer tomorrow morning at the Silicon Valley ham/computer/electronics swap meet...  Bet I can score a printer cheaper than a new HP cartridge.
