Linux - how to print GIF image?

2009-04-03 by gnuvvekaavaali

Folks,

I am looking at making the Easy Nixie clock here -

http://elbastl.sweb.cz/clock.htm

The PCB design is provided as a 600 dpi gif image.
gimp says the size of the PCB image to be 3745 x 2105 pixels.

I am on OpenSuse 10.2, and my printer is a Samsung MFP, SCX-4100
and it is a 600 dpi printer. I installed the latest
ver 3 Unified driver from Samsung, and all other stuff
like openoffice etc prints fine.

Can someone point me how to print this correctly?

I tried gimp, and a few image viewing programs and they
want to print it way oversize.

I was frustrated enough to consider redoing the design on
free Eagle, but then it's a bit of work, esp with the size
limits of the free version of Eagle.
