Hi Mike, What is the part number for the paper you mentioned? I see two possibilities at Staples. Judging by the price you mentioned, it is probably the first one listed below. I looked on the HP site and both types are for laser printers, not ink jet. 73's David HP P/N Q2546A HP Color Laser Presentation Paper A bright, glossy paper that offers superior quality and reliability $13.99 for 300 pcs. HP P/N Q6541A HP Soft Gloss Presentation Laser Paper Double-sided soft gloss finish for rich, vibrant colors and graphics on both sides $15.70 for 200 pcs. --- In Homebrew_PCBs@yahoogroups.com, michael tenore <wb2lcw@...> wrote: > > It has been said in other post's that the Brother toner needs a very high temperature! And is not recomended > > I have a HP 1200 laser printer ($25 Craigslist)and using HP Presentation paper($13 Staples) > it is very easy to get a excellent transfer with my dry iron and only about two to three minutes of ironing. > I have not had a single bad transfer using this HP paper! > > 73 > Mike > > > > > ________________________________ > From: sailingto <sailorman@...> > To: Homebrew_PCBs@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Saturday, May 2, 2009 10:52:29 PM > Subject: [Homebrew_PCBs] Re: GBC H535 Laminator > > > > > > Any idea how hot the GBC H535 laminator gets? I'm using a Brother 2140 laser printer and the toner seems to require pretty high temperature. I do the toner transfer in a toaster oven at about 450F for 10 minutes to get a good transfer. > > Thanks for any info. > > 73 de Ken H> K9FV > > --- In Homebrew_PCBs@ yahoogroups. com, "trevwhite74" <trevor.white100@ ...> wrote: > > > > Yeah, I managed to buy one here in the UK. It was a similar price, maybe a little bit more. I paid £70 delivered but it was a bargain as there were a few on sale for around £200 and new they seemed expensive. I have used it a little and it is just fantastic. Feels really solid and heats up nicely. Pretty happy with it. > > > > Trev > > > > --- In Homebrew_PCBs@ yahoogroups. com, michael tenore <wb2lcw@> wrote: > > > > > > > > > Hi All1 > > > > > > I just bought a GBC H535 laminator from eBay for $95 with shipping! > > > > > > Is anyone using this for Toner Transfer? > > > > > > I think I got a good deal on this as others were listing them for between $300 and $450. > > > > > > The seller listed it as us3ed but good condition! > > > > > > I ws surprised no one else bid for it/ > > > > > > Thanks > > > 73 > > > > > > Mike > > > > > > > > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] >
