  - pretty much my only choice of walk-in-and-buy-it supplier.

Given that we're high wage anglophones, it's probably not sold widely  
around the world

It worked well - it appeared to melt quickly to a sort of grey blob  
(which did conduct electricity, but was not very strong). After much  
more time, it suddenly went white-then-silver and the surface tension  
did its thing.
