I've had good luck laser engraving Thermark (www.thermark.com) for a PCB soldermask. It leaves a permanent glass-like surface on the PCB. High powered non enclosed laser like that laser while cool isn't recommended. Chance of laser reflection would be high. Lasers have come down in price. We sell the basic model for $1495: http://www.fullspectrumengineering.com/co2laserv2-40w.html On Mon, Mar 1, 2010 at 6:34 AM, Leon Heller <leon355@btinternet.com> wrote: > > > I'm heavily involved with XMOS chips, and this laser engraver is a nice > use for the little XK-1 board: > > http://www.xcore.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=262&p=1964#p1964 > > It's probably got some PCB applications. > > Leon > -- > Leon Heller > G1HSM > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
