in the 70s as a jr high and high school teenager I used tshirt silk screen kits from the craft/toy store with staedler mars drafting pens on overhead projector transparencies and a photoflood to make traces and screens. College art department? basement laundry room. Used to get linotape then too from the papergoods/office supply stores in the malls, but that risked shadows from the second clear layer.
