For cleaning and flushing these things, I find what works best is this: 50mL nonsudsing household ammonia 200mL 50% isopropyl alcohol 250mL filtered or distilled water I have a 500mL labeled container I mix it in, just some garden variety food container. Assuming you are -not- using HP or Lexmark (head and tank all in one): I have a vacuum pump with holding container that I found at a thrift store that I use to pull large quantities of cleaner through. You can also use a vacuum pump and a mason jar between the cartridge and the pump to catch the ink and cleaning solution. BTW, the Epson C8x and C6x series printers don't have a sponge/felt inside, so easier to flush completely. The chips make things a large pain, but get the SSC Service Utility software (free) to reset the chips. http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml Steve Greenfield
