Free GBC 9" Laminator at Staples

Free GBC 9" Laminator at Staples

2005-11-19 by mycroft2152

For those of you in the US who are looking at buying a laminator,
here's a Black Friday Special. (Black Friday is the shopping day after
Thanksgiving.) Staples is selling the GBC 9" laminator with rebate for
a final price of $0.00!

This is an early bird special and is listed on the

blackfriday.gottadeal.com

website.

And will be listed in the circulars that come in Wednesday newspaper.

Good Luck with the crowds.

Now why would they do something like that?
Having exactly ... one ... in stock (that a employee takes) and saying
"sorry, we are out, but there's this other model...", or what else is the
trick??

1. They figure you'll buy other things too.

2. Many people just never get around to mailing in the rebate (as I
sheepishly hide the $30 in rebates I just remembered I had to send in
before the end of October)

3. Often there are very specific conditions set on the rebates that if
you don't follow them, you don't get the rebate.

In spite of #3, Staples has been very good about rebates. One or two
people on the Heat Transfers list just posted glowing recommendations
for Staples for the lengths the managers went to in order to make sure
they received their rebates.

Ah i see you get a refund afterwards. That is uncommon here, well, with
mobile phones it is common you get some free time if you register, but
usually, if there's a rebate, you get it right when buying.

Of course they want you to buy other stuff, but i always thought that only
works for women ;-), when i buy something i usually get it and don't look
sideways.
My thought was maybe they hope to sell lots of laminator pouches.

Anyway, sounds like really good value for money ;-)

This appears to be the same machine Pulsar.gs includes in their
starter package. It works good on .032 material. It won't handle the
thicker stuff.

Mine was "They didn't send that to this store for some reason". They
had a couple GBC 9" creative laminators for thirty something, but I
guess they make more than one of the same size in that same price
range. (...right)
