Transfer looking good now

Transfer looking good now

2008-02-12 by Chuck Kelsey

Well, I think I may have done it.

First, I made my boards smaller so that they wouldn't sink as much heat.
Instead of a 4" x 6" board with 6 circuits on it, it is now 1/3 that size.

I ran it through 16 times.

No traces came off.

Did you make any other changes besides the size of the board and the number
of passes?

So you had a temperature problem after all.
Convert a fuser to run at ~180C and slow and you'll only need one pass.

Actually, yes.

I used some 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper to clean the board after I'd already
used a brillo soap pad, then rubbed down the board with rubbing alcohol. I
also humidified the Pulsar paper prior to running it through the laser
printer.

The smaller board was noticeably hotter to handle.

It certainly appears that this may be at least a contributing problem,
possibly the primary one.
