OT - prototype source

OT - prototype source

2009-02-20 by Mark Lerman

Yes, I know this is Homebrew_PCB, but I have a need for an outsourced
board because of the 50 or so very small vias (13-14 mil holes) in a
25 mm square board that I do NOT want to hand solder. Does anyone
have a source that will do vias this small for a reasonable fee?
ExpressPCB will do it, but they seem to want me to use their
software, rather than anything producing Gerber/Excellon files. In
the spirit of homebrew, I will be soldering the QFN parts myself <smile>

I was going to suggest http://www.futurlec.com/PCBTechnical.shtml but
their minimum hole size is 0.6mm (0.015"). will that suffice ?

They specify minimum of 0.25mm (0.010") track width/space but I've had
boards from them with 0.2mm (0.008") and they looked ok.

www.pcb-pool.com can do that tech, but they have a minimum order of 16
sq in. You can order 16 of your board, I suppose.

Batchpcb's 4-layer service would be ideal, if not for the long
turnaround times. Minimum size 1 sqin for $8, plus s&h.

Maybe - I'm at 8/8 on this board, but I'll take a look at them. Thanks!

PCB-Pool does 0.3 mm holes.
