You're gonna want one of the many PCB services out there if you want boards done on a regular basis. This group is about learning to make boards yourself at home.

Hi James

The volume doesn't warrant going to one of the large shops. If you have any ideas, they would be very welcome.

Thanks

I have used PCBexpress, a division of Sunstone Circuits, located in the Portland, Oregon area for small quantities of boards. If you want you can lay out several different designs on one panel and order a few panels. Pricing is based on size of the panel with very reasonable charges for set-up. You can submit Gerber files, or in many cases have them create the Gerbers from your layout. I have on occasion had 8-10 different designs on one panel and ordered 3 or 4 panels. The prices are quite reasonable, with professional results including plated through holes, multi-layers if desired, silkscreen legend, solder mask, etc. You can get Rohs compliant boards if needed. The delivery is fast, with finished boards delivered in a few days.

Of course I still make my own for simple designs with large lines and spaces and not requiring plated through holes or vias.

Bob

Use one of the prototyping services like PCB-Pool, then. The quality
will be much better than you will get for home-made PCBs, and they will
be cheaper.

Sparkfun's batchpcb.com is a service more for one-offs and has uncertain lead times, but I mention it because it is quite a bit cheaper than the others mentioned (or was the last time I looked). I must declare, however, that I've never personally used it, being in Australia the shipping's usually at least half the cost.

Check into batchpcb.com ... it is a partner/division of sparkfun.com and focuses
on quality, inexpensive PCBs. They have them manufacured off shore and
break up large batches of boards (called 'bricks' I seem to remember)
to ship them
to the purchasers.

It isn't super fast, but it is inexpensive and quality from what I can tell.

Read the FAQ it should answer your questions.

I'm interested and may be able to help you. My shop is equipped with a Gerber photoplotter, dry film lamination, drilling, routing and silk screening. I owned a commercial shop in the past but now work alone and produce boards for my products but I can also fabricate boards for others. Email direct if you have any interest.
