Homebrew PCBs

Has anyone looked at this machine for toner transfer? UPC code is
75353 32037

Its pretty easy to tell if it won't work.  Harder to say if it will.

Look for a hot laminator.  some of them use adhesive pouches and no
heat (kind of useless as a laminator or pcb transfer).  Look for a
wide enough exit slot or a way to widen it out.  some have molded
cases and the slot is of a fixed width.  Frankly, at $24 USD, I'd be
suprised.  There can't be much inside.  However, at $24, you should
buy one and hack it!  Let us know.

The $24 Duck laminator at Walmart is a heated unit.  I took it apart
and it uses a heating element across the top roller.  A 5rpm motor
drives the roller pair.  Unfortunately it appears to be one of a new
generation of low temperature laminating units.  It operates at 85
degrees C or 185 degrees F.  

I don't think it can be modified to a higher temperature without
melting various internal components like the gears.
