Here's my recollection of events - if anyone can
correct or add details, please do so! Ever since Yahoo!
bought eGroups, the idea was to integrate these groups
with the existing Yahoo clubs. Right now, clubs can be
found at:<br><a href=http://clubs.yahoo.com target=new>http://clubs.yahoo.com</a><br>and groups (i.e.
the old eGroups)
at:<br><a href=http://groups.yahoo.com target=new>http://groups.yahoo.com</a><br><br>These groups have been discussing
this:<br><a href=http://groups.yahoo.com/group/yahooclubs target=new>http://groups.yahoo.com/group/yahooclubs</a><br><a href=http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Merger target=new>http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Merger</a><br><br>Info on the
merger:<br><a href=http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/groups/info/ target=new>http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/groups/info/</a> <br> <br>Groups have some excellent features and
Yahoo has also added some features of clubs to groups,
so the plan is that all clubs will be transformed
into groups. Two months or so ago, groups were told
that non-active groups would be deleted. This actually
did happen, in much the same way as when Onelist and
eGroups had merged before. The plan was that there would
be as little overlap as possible between names of
clubs and groups.<br><br>Just recently, Yahoo disabled
the ability to create new clubs, which makes me
believe that the shift of all clubs to the new groups is
now immanent.<br><br>For more details, have a look
at:<br><a href=http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/clubmasters target=new>http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/clubmasters</a><br><br>Hope this helps, let me know if you come across
something new!<br><br>Marion
