In any Logic, When you choose an audio path for a recording you are forced to name theaudio. That is the last time you ever see that name. When you record it becomes things like"audio 1 #31'What use is the name you give audio if you never see the name? Why does Logic force youto name audio? In fact , since you name the audio and later see it named something else,it is very confusing. Why Why Why?I could see it if you named it "tree" and then your first recording was called tree1 andthen tree2. This would make sense and be useful and helpful.
No you dont have to give it a name when you select your recording path.
Logic puts a default name in the dialog box when you do it, cant remember what it is off the top of my head, but this has no effect on the name of your audio files and you dont have to actually put anything in the dialog when you choose your path..
The name of your audio files comes from the name of the track youre recording on.
This is how Logic has always been AFAIK.
