Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

I was interested in the sample rate combining
question; the reference manual doesn't say, as far as
I can tell, whether different sample rates can be
combined. 
it says that bouncing from arrange can only be in the
oiginal sample rate. So you'd have to bounce, then
change the rate in the sample edit window.
If you import mp3's they convert auto'ly to aiff.
I know you can have aif and wav's in one doc. but i
don't know if the sample rates can be both 44 and 48.
I don't think so ........ can anyone else find it in
the manual ?
