Quick-trick Sought to Prevent Plug-in Load

2005-07-18 by Michael Sirotta

Is there any way in Logic Pro 7 to PREVENT plug-ins from loading to a file where they are
allocated if one only wants to edit MIDI data or other non-audio parameters?

For example, I would like to copy tracks from one .lso file to another, but the process of
switching between two files that are simultaneously open (as Apple's software allows),
causes all audio instrument plug-ins to reload to the active file each and every time a
switch between active files is made - very time consuming and unnecessary for just a
copy-paste operation.

A real bug-a-boo, if you ask me. I would love to know if there is an easy solution to this.
