Sounds like that takes more time than letting the plug-ins load.  Plus, all the plug-ins 
would have to be 'rebuilt' if they are deleted - sort of defeats the purpose.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
