I don't know (no Logic around for the moment to try it out), it could be that 
they don't reload anything until the tracks are unfrozen again.

I hadn't even thought about copying it to a new song but yes that'll work! :o)

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
