I would just get any book on Logic and then realize some things may not apply. I thought Len Sasso's book was good - short and to the point with useful info. Stephen Bennett had some books like that too, although I don't think he has updated them to Logic Pro (they were for earlier versions). The Apple book seems good for beginners too. I am not a big fan of some of the other books - which seem to be rehashes of the manual with no new material and no better way of explaining things. This happens for all software - people just put out books which don't improve on the manuals that come for free - which are not bad at all. I noticed that UCLA Extension is offering a Logic class - but a bit pricey for most - $995 just for the class.
