Re: [Logic_Cafe] Logic Pro Recording Problem ??

2006-02-22 by GAmoore@aol.com

I also noticed that the Bar Ruler
turns red when recording - I do not remember seeing
this - but this may be normal.

red for record, yellow for solo, and blue for ...not sure

When I say "No Recording" - usually, as the SPL moves
across the screen, the recorded audio tracks show up
behind it. Well - in this case - the SPL moves across the
screen, and nothing appears behind it.

Sometimes it moves, but the drawing is delayed. if you hit stop you see it.
Also this occurs if you record on a midi channel but don't do anything.
if this is happening on an audio track then something is not set up because
it will record silence if there is no input.

are the meters moving?

Before hitting record, try putting into record/pause mode, with the track muted, and play something into it to see if the meters move.

This song is set up as a "project" and all of the folders
that are normally created for a project have indeed been created
by Logic. We are sure that this is cockpit error on our part,
we just have never had this problem ?!?!?!?

there are a number of things that can happen. I have had the spidif cable come ajar from the a/d and hang things p. it seemed that after I did a OS update, some strange behaviour in logic occurred which required going to the audio/midi control panel to change things back to the way they were.
