it will record silence if there is no input.
are the meters moving?
Before hitting record, try putting into record/pause mode, with the track muted, and play something into it to see if the meters move.
Drawing is not delayed - when stopped - nothing appears.
No Midi or Instrument channels - all Audio Channels.
All meters on all tracks are moving in correspondence with the
input signal.
We do this all of the time - never had a problem.
Very strange.
