RME Fireface & Logic 5 & Environment Routing

2006-08-14 by derby

Hello,

Perhaps this is not related specifically to the Fireface, but I have a
routing dilemma.

On the fireface I am using 8 analog ins, 8 ADAT ins, & 8 ADAT outs.

When I load Logic, I only have 16 ins available tracks 1-16.

The fireface is setup so inputs 1-8 are analog, 9-10 SPDIF, 11-18 ADAT in

However, in Logic, tracks 17-18 are grayed out.

Possible solution #1: I have tried (using the Fireface patchbay
(matrix)) to reroute the ADAT in to 9-16.
Possible solution #2: The other option is to tell logic to see more
audio tracks.

How does Logic determine # of Audio Tracks allowed, why are some
grayed out? Is the RME driver telling Logic how many inputs? Is
Logic getting the number from what it thinks the Computer can handle?
