Logic 7.2

2006-08-26 by dubbingmonkey

Hello all,

I've just been looking at upgrading to 7.2. But looking at the comments on the Apple web
site it looks like lots of people are finding Logic a bit buggy. I have to say that I tend to
agree with this view. I use Pro-tools professionally in a post-production environment all
the time and have found it to be very stable, with a bit of data t.l.c. I would dread using
Logic professionally as it is terribly shakey. I did one compostition job on Logic recently
for a corporate client and it was a very seat of the pants session (would Logic play all of
the instruments all of the time kind of thing). My views do seem to be echoed by other
users with lots of people saying the Pro bit of the name should be taken off. I'm very
disappointed that this paid upgrade hasn't settled the software down. Surely Apple must
read posts on their own website, and hopefully these message boards as well, and if they
do aren't they ever going to stabilize Logic.

I'm I alone in thinking this? Does your Logic crash or is it perfectly stable? If so what are
you doing that I'm not? I'd really like to know.

If anyone has any comments it would be great to hear them.

I love Logic and I'd love to use in my professional work, but if a piece of software crashes
or misbehaves more than once a day, it isn't making it into my studio.

cheers

DM
