Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

Hi All,
Does anyone here use Ableton live?

I recorded a Bass Player the other day and tried the Factory > Quantize Engine feature and 
had awful results. I really don't know if it's because i'm not getting the params correct or if 
this is a feature in Logic that has never worked well and nobody uses. The params i'm 
referring to are 'attack range', 'smooth release', etc. Don't think using the slice feature for a 4 
min bass track is the right approach...(?) 

Further, was using a quantize template i created from a Stylus loop which worked great for 
other midi parts but not the audio.

If anyone has suggestions on what i may be doing wrong, let me know thanks!
but was thinking maybe another app. like  Ableton Live might handle this chore better.
