You drag the transients around to coincide with each 16 note of the
groove. So if for EG it's a bass line and there's a bass note on beat
"one and" and the transient is not right on the the attack of the
bass note drag it so it is. That's all you have to do. It takes care
of the rest. Whan that apple loop plays back in logic that hand set
transient will correspond with logic's currently set quantise
template - weather it's a standard one or one of your custom ones.

Follow the instructions and this is fully possible. Also, Logic's
"Quantise Audio" function within the time machine has always been
fully crap IMO.
The other thing you can play with that's very useful but generally
only with 'Apple Loop" other pretty tight audio is the Grooveshifter
Plugin in the Special submenu.

That is possible but you have to do the quantising in the event list.
This has also been a useful technique for me at times.
