Well not that kinda trouble but.. Couple things to check, is the tempo 
set properly in Logic? Did he record em free or did he stick to a click 
track?? Also maybe a dumb one but double check the sample rates too..
If its mismatched this could do it as well.. And congas are one of those 
instruments I know that might escape me as being at the wrong pitch when 
its played at a different rate.
