Re: [Logic_Cafe] Re: importing audio files

2006-11-18 by Tim McLane

So, the guy who recorded the tracks in Dig. Perf. said that he changed the sample rate to same some memory. I assume that means that he changed it from 44.1 to something else. What does he have to do to fix things? Re-record at 44.1? And-- are you saying that changing that, and that alone, will probably fix my sync problem? You mentioned that it might make the congas sound different but it didn't; they were in sync at the beginning of the recording and then delayed by many beats later on in the 6min+ song.

I just had a conga player do tracks in his studio (Digital Performer) and when I imported them into Logic, they were great at the top of the track but then they were out of sync at the middle of the track --- the track is about 6min long.

Well not that kinda trouble but.. Couple things to check, is the tempo
set properly in Logic? Did he record em free or did he stick to a click
track?? Also maybe a dumb one but double check the sample rates too..
If its mismatched this could do it as well.. And congas are one of those
instruments I know that might escape me as being at the wrong pitch when
its played at a different rate.
