Re: Waves Plug-in Question [Before I Spend $750] on the SSL 4000

2006-12-12 by Erik Häusler

"As for vintage comps and eqs did you try the Liquid Mix by
Focusrite? Its quite a deal."

The SSL bundle is in the first plug-in I´ve heard that actually has a
sound. It creates that magic je-ne-sais-quoi that you normally spend
the family fortune on analog eqipment to get. It transforms the sound
in my ears, and I don´t understand how. It´s the ghost in the machine
that does it. Sounds like a pretty fair deal compared to what I spent
on it...
But as GA stated, you have to give Liquid Mix (at roughly the same
money) a listen too. I haven´t tried it, but it was recommended to me
by a guy who´s engineering at a Studio/mastering facility without
compromise: 72ch Neve console and an endless array of pristine
equipment.
All the best of luck now. Get out there and give´em a listen!
