The thing that makes it hard to try out, is that its a hardware/software combination so you can't download a demo version. And I never see this stuff set up to be played with in Guitar Center or Sam Ash. But Guitar Center has a 30 day return policy. One slightly misleading thing is that the levels are hotter with the liquidmix stuff on. I basically put one eq and one compressor on each of the four channels (drums, bass, guitar, and string pad). The AFTER shouldn't be that distorted though. Everything sounds more ballsy, present, warmer and fuller to me with the liquid mix.
