I don't think there's any way to jump around during playback, although you might be able to program something using the more arcane features of the environment. For notation, I usually have a separate version of the song without any repeats, then just insert the repeat symbols in the right places. Another option if you really want the notation to mirror the playback is to use an alias. Aliases don't show up in the notation, so if you place an alias of the 8 bars after the real 8-bar region, it will play twice, but show up in the notation only once. You put the repeat symbols in the notation version to cue the reader. The only problem with this is that the measure numbers don't work out right, and there is a break in the score between the original region and the region after the alias. My solution is to not use measure numbers, and to move the beginning of the post-alias region to the next line to hide the break. Gregory
