I really like my tascam fw-1884 ; it's an integrated control surface / IO
board. It's realatively cheap, and you can have additional faders, and
turn it into a standalone mixer with a button push. The only major
liability is there's no LED's on the sliders, so you have to kind of guess
what the assignments are.
