While I've not used a broad range of different controllers I do own
and love my Mackie Control Universal + Mackie Control XT. It was
designed in collaboration with Michael Hadyn, Apple/ Emagic's main
man who designed the control surface code within Logic itself.
Because of this fact I suspect this line of controllers is a strong
cantidate for first place in the seamless integration stakes.

Whichever you choose be very sure about native support within Logic.
Also to extend the functionality of many controllers check out the
excellent LC Xmu <www.opuslocus.com> which does Mackie control
emulation so Logic thinks you're using a Mackie control when you
might be using another control surface. It's an extremely useful add
on for this sort of stuff.

Kind regards
