It could be the reason for taking over Emagic, but it's still the same team of people working on Logic, albeit under a different company name. The mess with the feedback form, the new bugs in L7 and the long time it takes to come up with an update, looks to me like there is some trouble sorting out technical strategies after the takeover. It also seems to me that a large effort for L7 was put into replacing "classic" Emagic code with standard routines from Apple, which probably induced bugs without a noticeable increase in functionality. However this could make future development as swift as it is for other Apple software once things are back on track. By the way, don't forget that Logic Platinum 5.5 and Pro 6 were also made under Apple management. So I do think they are interested in developing it, and not just stealing the technology for Garageband. It just seems the main goal of Pro 7.0 was to Apple-ize the software itself, and they made a bit of a mess of it. Seems to me as a temporary mess though. Maurits.
