I had a similar thing happen with a different plug in (NI's Massive) where it 
refused to show up in the AU window although it was in the AU folder. I had 
to uninstall, then reinstall, and run the AU authorizer again and it was fine. 
Waves is such a hassle. I have the Gold Bundle and Renn bundle, and I didn't 
even install them when I re-did my system because of the hassle, and the 
possibility they were the cause of crashes.
