Recording Effect Manipulations

Recording Effect Manipulations

2007-03-22 by zorneatsham

I have mapped some controls in an effect (frequency and depth in a
ring modulator) to a few knobs on my midi keyboard. I would like to
record my manipulations to the effect whilst recording my keyboard
improvisation (recording through midi played into a soft synth),
possibly as track automation. Is there a way to do this in Logic? Thanks.

I don't really see how that is a solution. This doesn't appear to
allow recording of midi information as track automation.

AU validator question

2007-03-26 by YAVUZ AKYAZICI

I have a MacBook running OS X 10.4.9
I use a Digi02 with Logic which is running fine.

I had waves Rennaissance MaxX bundle and I have just bought the
Musicians 1 bundle.

After iLok authorization and everything my waves plugins were gone.

I ran the AU Enabler of Logic, my waves plugs looked unchecked.
Then, I hit the reset and rescan button,
now they are not even in the AU list.

I am confused...

What should I do now?

I had a similar thing happen with a different plug in (NI's Massive) where it
refused to show up in the AU window although it was in the AU folder. I had
to uninstall, then reinstall, and run the AU authorizer again and it was fine.
Waves is such a hassle. I have the Gold Bundle and Renn bundle, and I didn't
even install them when I re-did my system because of the hassle, and the
possibility they were the cause of crashes.

Hi,

I'm not sure if you are aware of this but waves plugin's are NOT compatable with OSX
10.4.9 right now. They are working on an update for all waves plug ins... i spent $750 for
the SSL plugin and can't use it right now. You may want to email waves and ask them
directly....

Hope this helps !

May be I'm lucky but everything seems to work fine for me now.
Plugins show up.
They needed to be registered with AU registering tool.

Now they show up in Logic.
May be, I should try and see if they sound OK.
