Logic 5.5 was not developed under Apple management. Apple bought
Emagic shortly after Logic 5. I had bought the Logic Platinum 5
upgrade for Windows in spring of that year and the sale of Emagic was
announced on July 1st. I can't remember if the update to 5.5.1 on
Windows came after the takeover or not but the merging of companies
always takes a bit of time. IIRC there was no significant update to
Logic on Windows after that first summer. Logic development was not
really affected by Apple's ownership until they were working on Logic
6.
