Hey... Vocoders use filters or chanels to process sound. The more the clearer. The Korg honestly isn't that good. And for what you'd spend on hardware you could get a good software vocoder plug-in like Orange Vocoder or EliosSound Vocoder. By the way.. are you aware that Logic Pro 7 has a pretty good built in Vocoder ?? Unless you specifically need it for live shows, I'd stick to the software versions, because the state of technology [ie: number of good filters] makes them better than the old school hardware versions. Also the new Korg hardware synth has one built in as well.. dunno how good it is...
