This was clearly a captivating question, so I will answer it myself. Logic's timeline is on a MIDI time clock, which for some bizarre reason uses 80 sub-frames per frame, compared to smpte which uses 100 sub-frames per frame. So the timestamp on the bwav files is in the 100sub frame format, and the time listing in the event window is in the 80 sub-frame format. Annoying, but at least it's not a bug.
