Re: [Logic_Cafe] SMPTE timing question

2007-05-09 by Gregory

This was clearly a captivating question, so I will answer it
myself. Logic's timeline is on a MIDI time clock, which for some
bizarre reason uses 80 sub-frames per frame, compared to smpte which
uses 100 sub-frames per frame. So the timestamp on the bwav files
is in the 100sub frame format, and the time listing in the event
window is in the 80 sub-frame format. Annoying, but at least it's
not a bug.
