Many guys are going to virtual synths and dumping their midi systems. So you 
might find a used AMT8 or Unitor on Ebay. 

The midi keyboards are prone to latency too - so you have to plug them 
directly into the mac (not through a hub or the alphanumeric keyboard).

You could probably get by with the daisy chain latency anyway. If you're 
playing midi its not too bad. When you go to record, you probably need to time 
correct them either way once they get bounced to audio.
