Hi Greg Thanksf or the reply. I pretty much did all of that and can play and hear my external synths, as I select each MIDI track (or audio instrument track) I can play its corresponding synth in my rack. My confusion comes in after watching this movie from the Logic Quick Tips site about setting up multi-instruments: http://bj.angeltowns.com/logicquicktips/movies/lqt_mt.mov In setting up the Stylus RMX, when its tracks are created, each track has a record button with it, just like the audio tracks. From what I understand, that button can be used to record the MIDI to the track. When I used the regular record button in the transport window, I had to arm an audio track, then play the synth and I saw the MIDI data being recorded and displayed as musical notes. See what I mean in the movie, I don't have those record buttons on my MIDI tracks. --- In Logic_Cafe@yahoogroups.com, GAmoore@... wrote: > > I am not quite following this.
