reptilepantoso said: also annoying (and maybe related) is that clicking at the background of a piano roll I'm trying to edit, brings up ALL midi notes in ALL sequences at that position. while that might come in handy, when comparing measures etc. it certainly is VERY annoying when editing drumloops and suddenly all the synth notes are all over the place. Does anybody know how to turn it off, to go back to pre-7.0 behaviour? ___________ It is a feature - and a very useful one - allows you to move quickly between MIDI clips - also, when you are working with short clips in a large piece, it can be hard to keep track of where you are if you want to go back a bit in time from where you are working - hard to do if you are just working within one clip. As far as I know, the feature has always been there - at least from version 3. It wasn't in Notator (but here we talk of ancient history). If you double-click in blank space in the Matrix Edit you bring up all MIDI events. By double-clicking on a note, you move to just that clip. So, if you single click on a note and it is, say, a bass note and you are after drums, just keep poking around. It isn't hard to tell them apart - the drums are usually contained to a small number of notes quite close together (kick, snare, hihats). cheers, alj Kurrajong, Australia http://www.myspace.com/anthonylindenjones [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
