Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

Hello All,

I believe that the lights are going on within my head on Logic better
than before.

I know that the solution will expose my humble, newbie status with Logic:)

I am looking around the interface (especially the Inspector panel) to
see the settings.

Within the strips for each track, I see the volume (on the left strip)
that was raised or lowered depending upon my tastes for each track.

But what should the output settings be for each track?  Does the
output number have to equal the volume setting?

I believe that the output setting button is off for each track as well.

I see the meter move up and down for the Output 1-2, but the button
says off.  Is it like a light switch that has to be turned to either
Read, Write, Latch, or Touch?

I've got a feeling that this setting is the missing link.
