I don't know if you have the problem solved yet with the advice given. I thought I'd sound
off as a Logic 7 user. Didn't know if that would be the right answer for you.
Pete's method of bouncing:
1. In the Ruler (arrange window) (command + 1) from left to right create the green "loop"
area over the whole area you want bounced. Make sure to have a few seconds at the
beginning and one second at the end of dead time. This can be turned on an off with the
"/" key.
2. Go to the mix window (command + 2).
3. Click on Global in the upper left area.
4. Click on Output on the bottom of the same list of buttons Global was at the top of.
5. Under inserts (for Out 1-2, just below the EQ box) try one of the preset mastering
strips. Sometimes these work better for my song than using WaveBurner.
6. Click on "Bounce" at the bottom of the Out 1-2 track.
7. I leave PCM checked on the left, Realtime, I bounce to "file format" Wave, 16 bit, 44100,
Interleaved, surround bounce off, dithering I check only if my session was in 24 bit and I'm
converting it to 16, and Add to iTunes Library. For the "Where" option at the top I put
mine in the Music folder.
8. Since I used the green loop area selector in the Arrange window, and left it activated,
that automatically set my "Start" and "End" positions for my bounce.
9. Click Bounce, and let Logic/mac do it's thing.
Hope this helps!
Pete
