Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

Several times with Logic 8, I record some audio, then later it seems to be 
playing about 2/3 speed and slowed down and lowered in pitch - just for a few 
bars, then it morphs up to the correct pitch and speed. However, there are no 
tempo changes, no transpositions, etc. Moving the audio region to a new track or 
different bar doesn't help. I ended up having to re-record. This has happened 
on two separate occasions. Does anyone know why it happens or how to fix it 
or prevent it?
