Energy XT 1.4 is a modular environment with all kinds of capabilities -
people liken it to a swiss army knife. eXT2 is still evolving - it is a
complete rewrite which has yet to gain some eXT 1.4 features. It seems
to be aimed at being a complete cross platform host - currently it runs
on Windows, Linux and OSX. If you buy eXT2, you get 1.4 as well I
believe. If you buy 1.4 second hand and transfer the licence to yourself
you can upgrade to 2.04 for free still (I think).
