Hey Jan, Thanks for that info. O also know several book were having USB problems. I use the M- Audio TORQ CONNECTIV usb interface for DJ-ing live with my little black macbook. I [and several others] were having problems with USB interfaces going silent, or producing crackles, etc.. Turns out it wasn't the interface but the way Apple implemented the USB ports. Seem that they "lost sync" with the motherboard or something like that. The work around was to use the USB 2.0 port CLOSEST to the keyboard [or the "lower one] as opposed to the one nearer to the screen. That solved everything. Someone mentioned that the "lower" port spoke directly to the chip while the upper one was "branched off" or something like that. Hope this helps any hair pulling. And of course shut off bluetooth, airport, file sharing and any background processes if you plan on DJ-ing live. The background "bpm calculations" and file analysis chew up a ton of processor time. BTW Torq Dj as been ULTRA stable for me..
