I've experienced both of them. With Leopard, the program seems to have problems retaining its database of wrapped plug-ins. It will reset to scan everything each time it is opened, as though it were the first time the program is launched. With Logic Pro 8, it has a window redraw issue whereby it will not move the plug-in's GUI along with the plug-in window that is opened. FXpansion says they aren't going to address either issue any time soon until they examine the VST3 protocol published by Steinberg to see if future development is worth it. This is according to posts by their programmers on their forums. So, it might work for some plug-ins, that's the best that can be said if you're running the latest stuff. If you're going to use Logic Pro 7.x in Mac OS X 10.4.x Tiger, it works flawlessly with quite a few plug-ins. But, they've basically stopped development on it, so caveat emptor.
