Until I got my Intel Mac, I had no problems with audio. Now, everything is haywire and I don't know what the cause is. The sound keeps cutting off without warning and there is much crackling, popping and cutting out which I see reflected in the analog activity lights of the MOTU. I thought for a while that it was a problem with the 828 until I noticed that when I used Quicktime or iTunes --- no problems. Then I started getting a Audio Driver Error 25974 --- I don't know what that means, either, but after searching it seemed that starting the core audio separately from Logic might help. I only have Logic 8, Ivory, MOTU ethno and symphonic and Spectrasonics RMX. Do I need DAE or TDM? Any suggestions on solving my audio that is cutting out every time I turn around. I almost bought another audio interface until I realized there is probably nothing wrong with the one I have. Let me know ---I've been going through this for weeks and I'm desperate. I've even considered doing the 1on1 thing and hanging out with one of the Mac Geniuses --- but I don't know if I want to gamble their fee vs their knowledge of peripherals. Regards, T
