Thanks Eric, I will keep trying with Recycle. Yeah i often hear clicks at each slice point. Typically i have to take 1 or 2 percussion loops, convert to REX, and import into Stylus RMX. I then manipulate the timing via Quantize templates to work with whatever else is in the rhythm track. I've even started creating my own Q-Templates. I've used Melodyne to manipulate the timing of drums but there are limitations with Melodyne. There is no tick information that you can see. There is a function to quantize to 'Other' but i've gotten mixed results. Anything having to do with Quantizing, manipulating the timing of audio is of huge interest to me! thanks, T --- In Logic_Cafe@yahoogroups.com, Erik Sojdelius <eriksojdelius@...> wrote: > > Hey T, > > I still use ReCycle a lot, mostly for the level of control it gives me. > > I don't find there's a lot of artefacts...are you talking about when > your'e actually slicing the beat in ReCycle or the result when you > bring it in to your DAW? > > Many times I find clicks when I'm slicing and moving the splitpoints > around, but they're allways gone when I bring up the rex file in EXS 24. > > If you plan on going wild with tempos and pitch you might want to > consider letting ReCycle handle those before you export it.
