Re: [Logic_Cafe] Re: Creating REX files

Ok, then we're two! (Yeah right..;-)

Allright, your using RMX, i guess as good a choice as any. The reason
I'm using is EXS24 is because of the lack of keygroups in Stylus.

Don't get me wrong, I love Stylus RMX but if you wanna tune each slice
differently within a loop it get's messy with the RMX.

Also, you might mess around with quantize templates but if you wanna
tweak each samplestartpoint (after it's recycled) it also gets messy.

Logics quantize menus are the best out there IMHO, I mess with swing
% , quantize strengh, track delays, build custom grooves in the event
editor etc. The only one that can compete and even win somtimes is the
new Quantize engine in Reason 4 IMHO. Why? It has "random". So you can
apply the same basic groove template to your kick, snare & hihat and
then apply randomness. So that you get the basic "feel" but keep a
wandering flam between each instrument. Clever!

Be Good,

erik
